VETOFLEX Bandage Classic Ice
As far back as ancient Egypt, cold therapywas used to treat pain. In folk medicine, it was also often used to treat local inflammations. Cold significantly reduces the perception of pain, has an anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effect. It also relieves muscle tension and improves blood circulation in the inflamed part of the body. Together with the compressive effect of the bandage, these beneficial effects are significantly multiplied.
The newly developed compression bandages VETOFLEX® Classic Ice not only significantly help tomaintain the correct flow of lymphand thereforeprevent its stagnation in the distal part of the horse's limbs, but with a significantcooling effectthey reduce the activity of inflammatory processes and bring relief from pain.
It is known from veterinary practice that the beneficial effect of cold in horses is manifested on the internal tissues only after approx. 20 minutes of cooling with a stream of water. The inner part of the Classic Ice bandage is made of a highly elastic and breathable material that was specially developed for human medicine. At the same time, this material protects the skin from burning from the cold.
As well as for Classic bandages, we offer 4 lengths depending on the height of the horse: STANDARD, SHORT, LONG, PONY.

How to pick the right bandage?
The individual types differ from each other in the height of the bandage and the material (the SILVER variants are made of antibacterial fiber with silver). Depending on the height, choose either STANDARD, SHORT, LONG or PONY.
Depending on the circumference of the fetlock, you can choose the appropriate size (S, M, L, XL, XXL) in the chosen type of bandage.
If necessary, an individual solution is possible with an additional charge of 30%.

VETOFLEX ICE compression bandages are intended for quick and effective cooling of the horse's legs after exercise or when cooling is needed in the event of a leg injury. At the same time, it helps to prevent the formation of lymphatic swelling, faster and smoother regeneration after physical exertion.
Bandages are seamless, easy to apply and fasten. Thanks to the high-quality softshell used for the ice pocket, the ice stays in the bandage for a very long time. The bandage itself protects the horse's skin from cold burns.

METHOD OF USE
After hard work with a horse, during the time of regeneration (faster elimination of harmful substances from the blood, reduction of the activity of inflammatory processes, relief of pain).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Apply the bandage from the back to the metatarsal joint, with the velcro with the logo facing the outside of the leg.
Pull the lower or upper edges of the bandage together and fasten the anchors.
Then close the zipper and bring the slider tab down to a vertical position. This fixes the zipper against spontaneous opening. Lightly attach the Velcro with the logo, covering the zipper slider.
Pour an appropriate amount of ice into the softshell pocket on the back of the bandage
Secure the pocket with Velcro

- Machine washable at 30C, ideally using a soap solution and washing programme for delicate items.
- Use lower-speed spinning over a shorter time. Prolonged spinning at high RPM may cause irreversible damage to fibres.
- Do not use bleaching agents or fabric conditioners which can create a film on the yarn preventing direct contact between the product surface and skin.
- Wash with all fastenings done, including all Velcros, to prevent possible damage to the fabric.
- Do not leave to dry in direct sunlight or near a source of heat.
- Avoid contact with organic solvents, oils, fats and salves.
- Protect the product from damage by sharp items.

How To Measure
Use tape measure to determine the circumference of the fetlock joint at its widest point, ideally when the swelling has subsided as much as possible. Then measure the distance on the front of the leg as indicated in the picture.
