Camilla Zanna founded Premier Performance in the UK in 2018, after spending years rebuilding her own horse Luca's gut and condition. The line is BETA NOPS and UFAS approved, used by top British competition yards, and developed alongside Phd equine nutritionists and vets — including Charlotte, the brand's in-house vet who answers nutrition questions for Premier's customers in the UK and now ours.

Are these competition-legal?
Premier Performance is BETA NOPS and Clean Sport certified — that's the bar FEI and USEF riders need to see. We list the certification status on every product page so you can check before a show.
How long until we see a difference?
Most gut and joint formulas need 4–6 weeks of consistent feeding. Calmers and electrolytes work much faster — same day for electrolytes, within a week or two for calmers. We'd give any product at least one full month before deciding it isn't working.
Can I switch from another brand?
Yes — most riders just transition over a week or two. Halve the old supplement, add Premier at half-dose, then phase the old one out. If you're switching for a specific reason (gut sensitivity, behaviour change), Charlotte at Premier or Jen at Savvy can advise.
What about shelf life?
Each Pouch is stamped with a best-before date — typically 2 years from manufacture, kept cool and dry. Once opened, use within 6 months for best potency.

Why we added Premier to the barn.
We don’t bring a brand into Savvy unless we truly believe it can improve a horse’s quality of life and the lives of the humans who love them.
Every product we carry is hand-selected by Jen to fill a real need. In fact, many of them started with her own research while solving physical challenges faced by her Grand Prix horse, Absolute Dream.
Premier Performance earned its place in our barn first before joining the Savvy product lineup. Jen began using the Premier's Sassy Mare supplement on her own mare, GiGi, who had always been convinced she was Queen of the Universe.
The shift wasn’t subtle. By day six, GiGi went from emotional and often disagreeable under saddle to calm, focused, and genuinely rideable.
Jen explored many training approaches over the years, tons of veterinary and therapeutic work, time off, and a long list of supplements in an effort to build a true partnership.
Thanks to Sassy Mare, GiGi is now a sweet mare who’s occasionally sassy… not the other way around.
Camilla and the Premier team in the UK have built something special, and we’re proud to be the U.S. home for it.
